I'm cool about my sex appeal: Malaika Arora

When I'm told that she is dressed in a sari, I'm mammothly disappointed. Because slinky tops, slit skirts and oodles of oomph are her calling card.

I almost do a double take when I see her dressed in a traditional Bengali sari doing a devotional number for NDTV Imagine's Dhoom Macha De. And that motivates my first question:

How come a demure sari?
I've been showered with compliments, even by the spotboys. This is the first time I've worn a Bengali sari. The episode is a devotional special. The opening sequence has been choreographed so well that I've fallen in love with the mantras.

What about all the chaste Hindi in the script?
(Shudders) Don't remind me, it gives me palpitations.

You have lost quite a lot of weight.
I was down with gastro and even had to be hospitalised. I couldn't shoot for an episode of Dhoom Macha De.

My mother-in-law does, and even on the sets, people do that for me.

What drew you to Dhoom Macha De?
It's the team which did Nach Baliye. Initially, I was reluctant. Music and I? But it didn't take a lot of convincing to rope me in. The team treats me like a diva. They know I get cranky when I'm not fed and take special care of me. Ha ha.

You were sorely missed you on Nach Baliye 3.
I would have loved to be a part of it but NDTV Imagine was quick to pull me over.

What did you think of Nach Baliye 3?
I didn't see much of it. Whatever little I watched was completely over the top.. the focus was on everything but dance. I liked Jhalak Dikhlaja 2 better. The first two seasons of Nach Baliye were very good.

Wasn't the first one the best?
I agree. The dancers were better and there was the novelty factor. I had a lot of fun doing it. You could make a behind-the-scenes show out of the first two seasons. I have literally fallen off the chair once, laughing.

Apparently, there was a cold war between you and Saroj Khan.
No way. I'm the easiest person to get along with.

Did it bug that you were signed on primarily for your sex appeal?
I'm cool about my sex appeal. Why should I be apologetic about it? Moreover, I'm selective about my work. I host award functions, do a couple of shows, some films and I'm happy.

Malaika and Amrita Arora in a sexy song

The sexy siblings will set the already-rising temperature soaring with their gyrations in a hot and sizzling item number.

For the first time, Malaika Arora and young sister Amrita Arora will come together on the big screen for a song in director Sanjay Gadhavi’s action thriller Kidnap . Moreover, the song, composed by Pritam , will have the two sisters pitted against each other, dancing to outshine each other.

Malaika describes the song as “hot, sexy and energetic.”

The movie’s leading star Sanjay Dutt will also be part of this special number which will be reportedly shot in Filmistan from March 9 to 13.

Neither of the Arora sisters is feeling insecure about sharing the screen space together. Though comparisons will be inevitable, the sexy sisters are looking forward to put their best foot forward under the guidance of choreographer Remo.

Malaika is more gorgeous of the two sisters, but Amrita is very good at dancing.

And before the shooting of the song, Malaika and Amrita are feeling more camaraderie than competition.

One sex bomb replaces two others!

This could be that rare case when less turns out to be more. Bollywood hottie Sophie Choudhary hopes to match the sex appeal of two bombshells put together.

Director Sanjay Gadhvi had approached Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora to do a special item song in his upcoming thriller Kidnap , starring Sanjay Dutt in lead role. The number is a very racy track that required the Arora sisters to flaunt their oomph to the maximum. But alas, some things are not meant to be.

A low-flying little birdie informs us that the Arora sisters, who were previously gung-ho about matching their dance steps together for the first time on screen, have now developed cold feet. They are not interested in doing the song anymore.

Reason?

It is believed that when the Arora sisters went deep into the details of the song, they found the number did little justice to their sizzling onscreen images. Another report goes on to say that the two sisters could not find any combination dates with actor Sanjay Dutt, who is a part of the song. The sexy siblings therefore decided to bow out.

Whatever the reason, Sanjay Gadhvi has now roped in Sophie Choudhary in the place of the Arora sisters.

Sophie, who is also working on a music album presently, hopes to set the silver screen on fire by exposing her well-endowed body in the item song that has been composed by Pritam and will be choreographed by Remo.
